Verbatim Reporter Based in Glasgow

Reservation fee: 

£60 for each day my services as a verbatim reporter based in Glasgow will be required (non-transferable), payable by BACS on the same day.  This will be deducted from the eventual invoice.  I will confirm my attendance thereafter by e-mail.

Attendance: 

Hourly rate £44.20, minimum £177.10 per day; travel time at half the hourly attendance rate up to and including four hours return from Larkhall.  The hourly rate for travel any distance beyond this will be subject to negotiation; mileage at 45p per mile, subject to change.

Before 10 am and after 5 pm the hourly rate is £88.40.

Transcripts: 

Extending notes of evidence £7.25 per page; £0.61 per page for copies.

Invoicing: 

Subsequent  to attendance an invoice will be issued and payment terms will be 30 days.

Payment: 

All payments should be made by BACS.

Cancellation: 

Where intimation of cancellation of attendance is made to me--
(a) more than 21 days prior to the date of attendance no additional fee shall be charged;
(b) 21 days or less prior to, and before 4.00pm on the working day prior to the date of attendance 75% of the minimum fee shall be charged;
(c) on or after 4.00pm on the working day prior to the date of attendance the minimum daily fee shall be charged.

Subsistence allowance: 

Where applicable this shall be appropriate to civil servants entitled to class 2 rates.

I cannot be held responsible for any circumstances that may prevent me from attending your court and these may include, but are not limited to, severe weather conditions, traffic delays, breakdown of vehicles, sickness or equipment failure. If I cannot attend and find myself unable to provide my services as a verbatim reporter, based in Glasgow yet serving nationwide, due to events beyond my control, I will contact you or the venue as soon as possible. In these circumstances my liability will be limited to refunding all monies paid in advance.
